FAQ’s

What to expect from an appointment?

Your physio will spend the first part of the session taking a history of your injury or related concerns. This will give us important information relating to diagnosis and/or goals. Your physio will then perform some physical tests to help confirm diagnosis or assess your movement. Treatment will include exercises, advice and/or manual therapy, depending on what will be most beneficial to your recovery or goals. You will usually be given exercises to complete independently at home. We will finish by giving you a plan of your best treatment pathway if follow-up is required.

Do I need a referral?

No, a referral is not necessary as a private patient. However if you have been given one please bring it to your appointment. You will need a doctor's referral in order to have your treatment covered by Work Cover, CTP insurance, DVA, NDIS or medicare (Under an EPC plan)

What do I need to bring?

Any letters, reports or scans that may be relevant.
If you have a running related concern please wear shoes suitable to run in

How long do appointments go for?

Initial appointments go for up to 1 hour, follow-ups 30mins. Please arrive 10 mins prior to your initial appointment to fill out some paperwork. If you have a complex case or several concerns, please let us know so we can allocate sufficient time.

What should I wear?

It is helpful to wear something that is easy to move around in/ something loose that we can access the injured area eg. Shorts for a knee injury, a singlet for a shoulder.

Do you accept private health?

Yes, please bring your private health card if you have one. We can swipe it on the spot with our HICAPS machine and you just pay the gap. Otherwise you can claim it back directly from your insurance if it covers physio.

Where can I park?

Free street parking is available in front of the practice on Glebe road, also around the corner on Ravenshaw street. Please contact us if you need to park in our driveway for accessibility reasons

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes, we have a flat driveway, and a ramp access to the front entrance

Do you have a cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours notice in order to cancel or reschedule appointments. If notice is not provided, we cannot fill the spot for someone who may need it and you will be charged a fee ($80 for initial, $60 for follow-up). In the case of illness or extenuating circumstances we are able to reschedule your appointment. If multiple appointments are cancelled or missed we reserve the right to ask for payment in advance to reserve your booking.
